It's no secret that beef, chicken and pork are the most widely consumed meats - but does one have more nutritional benefits than another? Or is it better for our environment to stick with a certain type of meat over others?

I'm going to show you why BEEF is actually significantly more nutritionally healthy for us (AND environmentally healthy and sustainable too) than any type of pork or chicken.
 
Most US chickens and pork are raised in dismal indoor environments, unable to see natural sunlight or get fresh air while they consume a diet packed with grains and soy. This has resulted in an incredibly high omega-6 linoleic acid content of around 18-20%, but the real danger is that Americans already have far too much consumption of this nutrient - it's been linked to heart disease, diabetes, cancer; even Alzheimer's!
 
In fact, one study on rats showed that the rats that ate more omega-6 fats GAINED body fat, whereas the rats that ate a lot of stearic acid (which is high in beef) actually LOST a significant amount of abdominal fat.
 
It's time to put beef on the wellness podium! This noble meat contains a mere 2-3% omega-6 linoleic acid, far less than chicken or pork with 7-10x more of this inflammatory fat. But that isn't all - it is also one of the most abundant sources of stearic acid which has been linked to lower calorie intake and trimming abdominal fat. So when you're looking for an anti-inflammatory food choice with major slim down powers, look no further than your trusty friend: BEEF!
 
While it might not surprise you, eating beef regularly can have a profound effect on your body and health. With up to two lbs of beef daily comes visible abdominal results with defined six pack muscles emerging in the lower abs area. Beef also packs more nutrients than chicken or pork due to its healthy diet compared to their grain-and soy based diets. Truly an amazing opportunity for improved physique!

Choosing conventional beef at your grocery store may be best for those with budget constraints who cannot obtain grass-finished versions locally.
 
While many of us may assume that the chicken and pork on our plates are 100% grain-fed, actually even feedlot beef - which can be inferior to grass-finished in terms of both nutrition and ecological sustainability - is less than half grain. The rest being a combination of hay, alfalfa, crop residues or other plant materials humans wouldn't normally eat but cows have special stomachs for breaking down into succulent steaks!
 
Eating beef can have massive health and environmental benefits due to its nutritious content. Not just that, but it's also produced on land where farming crops isn't beneficial or feasible so is a great way of utilizing otherwise unused areas. 
 
Additionally, rotational grazing across ranchers for red meat animals such as bison, elk and deer has been proven the most sustainable form of agricultural farming yet discovered! This means not only do you get delicious food packed with nutrition – but helping the planet too!
 
We often think of grains, beans and other plant-based foods as being eco-friendly sources of sustenance but their monoculture farming practices are far more damaging than most realize. Plowing can harm soil bacteria while pesticides and herbicides put wildlife in danger. 
 
Tropical forests have faced destruction to make way for exotic fruit plantations that never would've grown there naturally, posing a serious threat to delicate ecosystems across the globe. It's important we reconsider our traditional understanding about food production if we truly want healthier environments around us!
